Ingredients

Here’s a list of what you need:

  • Brussel sprouts
  • Vegetable oil
  • Saltor seasoned salt

How to Air Fry Brussel Sprouts

The real key to delicious vegetables is in preparation.

Wash the Brussels Sprouts and peel off any loose leaves. Loose leaves will just burn, so pull those off.

Cut off the side that was attached to the stalk. The stalks can dry out, and they can be a little tough if you do not cut that bit off.

For cooking food in the air fryer, it’s a good idea to chop the Brussel Sprouts into small pieces. I generally cut mine in quarters.

This gives this favorite green vegetable lots of surface area for the hot air to circulate. They will cook more quickly this way too.

After the Brussels Sprouts are cut lengthwise, check again for loose leaves, and remove them.

Drizzle enough vegetable oil on the Brussel Sprouts so they are fully coated with oil.

At this point, you will want to season them with salt. I have recently fallen in love with Vegetable Magic Seasoning. It’s perfect for vegetables, lots of flavor with a couple of shakes of this seasoned salt.

After you drizzle these with oil and sprinkle on some seasoning, you will put them into a pre-heated air fryer. I like to preheat mine to 350 degrees.

Cook the Brussel Sprouts for about 12 minutes at 350, turn up the air fryer to 400 degrees so they brown perfectly.

Once these easy to prepare Brussel Sprouts are cooked in your air fryer, you may want to top them with one of these ideas.

Is there a reason you frequently use vegetable oil vs. olive oil?

What size is your Air Fryer?
I’m thinking about buying one but not sure about the sizes

I have the Phillips model Air Fryer – 2.75 qt – Black. It is fairly small. There are larger ones out there. I would consider how many people you are needing to cook for at once.
